CURATING SPACE FOR HEALING

May All Black Lives Be Healed, Liberated, & Whole

The Healing Justice Foundation (HJF) is grounded in Black liberation, providing individuals, families, organizations, and communities with resources to address racial inequities and provide urgent healing support to Black people. The Black community continues to mourn together. As we move forward on the path to liberation, we must not rely on the existing criminal justice system to deliver justice, for it is the very system that continues to fail us.

The Community Healing Calendar of events offer restorative responses that address both urgent and acute crisis, specifically during incidents of police brutality within impacted communities. HJF is sharing community healing spaces using methodology of processing grief, healing, and making meaning that directly impacts the lived experiences of trauma survivors in a timely manner.

UPCOMING EVENTS

The Healing Justice Foundation (HJF) in partnership with Tru Ruts is providing this healing calendar to amplify spaces of healing during the Derek Chauvin Trial from March - June 2021. In-person and Virtual curated events supported by the HJF are found here and community-wide events can be found here: Community-Wide Healing Calendar.

This list is not exhaustive, but is an attempt to centralize the events led by the Healing Justice Foundation (HJF) as well as many of our community partners.

Please note that the HJF takes no responsibility for events produced by others. For questions you will need to connect with the contact representative for those events. We wish you wellness during this time.
